WPC / ETA License for Wireless Devices
WPC (Wireless Planning & Coordination) wing under the Ministry of Communications issues ETA (Equipment Type Approval) for wireless equipment in India. Any device using de-licensed frequency bands (WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee) requires ETA before import or sale in India. RF modules must be tested at NABL-accredited labs.
